Trip to Mwahako Trade Fair

Poem

Trip to Mwahako Trade Fair
Burhani Pre-primary School

The rains stopped
And the clouds huddled,
Our excitement to the peak,
A Field Trip to Mwahako Fair,
Exotic large birds, a fox,
A fiery lion with his golden mane, a lioness beside him,
We awaited to hear the roar from the King of the jungle,
The Crest on the crane was so beautiful, we just couldn't stop admiring!
And the hard-shelled tortoise who munched on green leafy cabbage,
Had thick legs which crawled and made the children squeal with joy,
The porcupine sprinted about, its body covered with thorn like structure,
Ouch, don't get too near,
We were told,
For it can prick and give tears,
The crocodiles lay wading in the water, in sweet slumber, lazing, with eyes closed,
The leopard was a beauty to watch,
Wildlife is a treasure for our country Tanzania,
So precious to us.
We then bounced on the trampoline and enjoyed in the jumping castle,
We were ready to go back to school
And retell our visit of our adventurous trip to all,
And draw pictures
And paint the whole scene.
